Our aim is to support Local Authority officers providing the statutory service of a Public Health Act Funeral. Officers deal with a variety of complex and difficult situations, often with little understanding or support.

By helping Local Authority officers support each other we strive to ensure that information is shared, and best practice promoted.

Officers perform their tasks with little praise, but we understand and appreciate the lengths that they will go to in order to provide a dignified service to the recently departed.

This resource is open to all staff working in the field, some may be in housing, environmental health or social care. Regardless of the department we want to ensure a dialogue and sharing of information to bolster each individual’s understanding of their role and responsibilities.
